Israeli Defence Minister reviews military readiness amid rising Iran tensions.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has reviewed the military’s operational readiness amid rising tensions with Iran.

He held talks with Army Chief Eyal Zamir following Zamir’s recent visit to Washington, where he met US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine and senior Pentagon officials. The discussions focused on coordination and preparedness for all possible scenarios, including potential US military action against Iran.

The meetings come after a similar visit to the United States by Israel’s military intelligence chief, Shlomi Binder, as both countries intensify contingency planning in anticipation of a possible regional confrontation.

Meanwhile, Iranian Army Chief Amir Hatami said the country’s armed forces are on full defensive readiness and are closely monitoring regional developments. Speaking in Tehran, he warned that any mistake by the United States would put Israel and the entire West Asia region at risk.

Adding to the tensions, US President Donald Trump said a massive naval force led by the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln is heading towards Iran. He also warned that Tehran is running out of time to reach a nuclear deal, fuelling fears of wider regional instability.
