Chandrajit Banerjee welcomes Indian Government’s intervention to cushion economy from energy price shocks.

Director General of CII, Chandrajit Banerjee, has appreciated the Government’s efforts to save the national economy from energy price escalations.

In a statement, Mr Banerjee said the measures on fuel pricing and LPG allocation will stabilise costs, sustain industrial operations, and protect households. He added, industry stands ready to partner closely to reinforce supply resilience and maintain economic stability in a volatile environment.

He noted that Indian industry is managing supply chain constraints from the Middle East conflict by accelerating energy diversification and optimizing supply chains. Banerjee lauded the timely, industry-supportive measures designed to mitigate operational pressures on companies.

The government’s actions aim to protect households and ensure stable operational costs during volatile periods. The CII highlights that Indian industry is proactively enhancing resilience and strengthening supply chains in response to the crisis.
