Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan called on Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi.
In a social media post, Indian Army said that the interaction focused on the current geostrategic situation, strengthening India-Armenia Defence Cooperation, expanding military engagement and advancing collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
CDS Gen Anil Chauhan held talks with Chief of the General Staff of Armenia, Lt General Edvard Asryan, in Delhi, and the two sides explored avenues for joint ventures in the development of military hardware, officials said on Tuesday. The countries reaffirmed their shared commitment to a robust and future-oriented strategic partnership.
The top military officer of Armenia met Gen Chauhan during his official visit to India. The meeting took place at the Manekshaw Centre in Delhi Cantonment.
“General Anil Chauhan #CDS held discussions with Lt General Edvard Asryan, Chief of the General Staff of Armenia, during his official visit to India. The General officer was received by the #CDS and was accorded a Guard of Honour,” the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) said in a post on X.
