Ukraine struck a Moscow oil refinery overnight for the second time within a week, while additional targets were hit in Russia’s Rostov region.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed the strike saying, several drones hit the Moscow Oil Refinery on the southeastern outskirts of the city.
Russia’s Defence Ministry said that 555 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed across the country. The Russian Transport Ministry said that flights from four Moscow airports were halted following the attack.
Russia’s State news agency said the attack on Moscow was one of the biggest this year. Meanwhile, In a social media post Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the attacks as a justified response to Russia’s ongoing military actions.
