Qatar has reaffirmed its support for talks between the United States and Iran to resolve outstanding issues through dialogue and peaceful means.
The statement came after a meeting between Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, and Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis at the Burgenstock Resort in Switzerland yesterday.
According to Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations, ways to strengthen cooperation, and recent developments in the region.
They also reviewed diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting security and stability following the memorandum of understanding signed between the United States and Iran.
