Foreign leaders and senior officials arrive in New Delhi for 18th. BRICS Summit.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in New Delhi to participate in the BRICS Summit 2026. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with the Chinese President later today. 

Foreign Affairs Minister of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov arrived in New Delhi this morning to participate in the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi.

India and Belarus share warm and friendly relations, marked by growing cooperation across a broad range of areas, in bilateral and multilateral spheres.

Prime Minister of Vietnam Le Minh Hưng has also arrived in New Delhi for the  Summit. He was received by Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol at the airport.

India and Vietnam share an Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, underpinned by longstanding bonds of friendship and cooperation expanding across defence and security, fintech, critical minerals and other emerging areas.

External Affairs Ministry said the two sides continue to work closely on multilateral cooperation.

Earlier this morning, Director-General of WHO, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus landed in New Delhi to attend the Summit.

External Affairs Ministry said that his visit underscores the importance of global cooperation in health related matters for shared progress and prosperity.
