26 Special Composite Group of NSG organises cyclothon in Mumbai.

The 26 Special Composite Group (SCG) of the National Security Guard (NSG) today organised a cyclothon in Mumbai, in memory of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, Ashok Chakra, the valiant hero of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

The aim of the event is to raise awareness about Cervical Cancer & Fit India camping, marking the ceremonial commencement of the NSG Raising Day celebrations.

The event witnessed active participation from over 250 professional cyclists, alongside NSG personnel symbolising physical fitness, unity, discipline, and a shared sense of national duty.

The cyclothon will commence at 7 am from the Gateway of India, Mumbai, covering a distance of 100 kilometres across the city. The event will witness active participation from over 250 professional cyclists, alongside NSG personnel symbolizing physical fitness, unity, discipline, and a shared sense of national duty.

As part of the route, two specially curated street plays on Cervical Cancer Awareness will be staged at prominent locations. The performances aim to engage the public in an interactive and accessible manner, encouraging greater understanding of women’s health issues and preventive care.

In addition, NSG medical teams will visit schools across Mumbai on 13th and 14th October 2025, conducting interactive sessions to raise awareness about fitness, preventive healthcare, including cervical cancer awareness, cleanliness among students and staff.
