Border Security Force’s (BSF) valiant tracker dog Babita has been honoured with the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel RRU National K9 Bravery Award- 2025.
This is for her exceptional courage, unwavering loyalty and distinguished service, during a national level program at Hydrabad, yesterday. Babita has been awarded with a commendation certificate and a medal.
Deployed in Punjab’s Amritsar Sector, Babita played a pivotal role in a major operation in September 2025.
Her sharp instincts and intelligence led the troops to a suspicious house, resulting in the arrest of 3 smugglers and seizure of a pistol, 63 rounds and mobile phones.
The award was given during a national-level programme in Hyderabad on Saturday, said a BSF spokesperson here on Sunday.
