BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari on Monday termed the election outcome a “victory of the people,” claiming voters had rejected what he described as misgovernance, corruption and an anti-Hindu administration.
Thanking party workers, he said the BJP would work to meet public expectations, ensure women’s safety and end what he called politics of appeasement.
Adhikari also asserted that, unlike the alleged post-poll violence under the TMC, his party would only pursue legal action.
In a sharp attack on opposition leaders, he claimed figures such as Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav and Mamata Banerjee were “finished,” adding that Akhilesh Yadav would face a similar fate.
