The 8th BRICS Anti-Drug Working Group Meeting was convened virtually under India’s BRICS Presidency.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) informed us that delegates from India, China, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Russia, South Africa and the UAE took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, the delegates exchanged national drug situation reports and deliberated on emerging drug threats, trafficking trends, operational challenges and best practices in drug control.
NCB said the meeting underscored the shared commitment of BRICS nations to strengthen international cooperation, enhance information exchange, build capacities and advance coordinated efforts to counter illicit drug trafficking and drug abuse.
