Pakistan court directs meeting arrangement for Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in Al-Qadir Trust case.

A court in Pakistan today directed authorities to arrange a meeting between former prime minister Imran Khan, his spouse Bushra Bibi and their legal counsel within seven days.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) passed the order while hearing appeals challenging their conviction in the 190 million British Pound Al-Qadir Trust case.

Khan, the 73-year-old leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, has been confined in prison since 2023 and is currently kept at Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi.

In January last year, an accountability court in Islamabad sentenced Khan to 14 years in prison and Bushra Bibi to seven years in the Al-Qadir Trust case. However, both had challenged their convictions before the IHC.
