President Trump and PM Modi’s meeting tomorrow on sidelines of G7 Summit in France.

US President Donald Trump has reached France for the Group of Seven, G-7 Summit after announcing an agreement with Iran. The agreement with Iran promises to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and pause a conflict that has rattled energy markets and unsettled allies.

The agreement, announced yesterday, is expected to dominate discussions among G7 leaders, many of whom are seeking answers about a deal whose details remain largely unknown.

Trump is expected to spend three days meeting world leaders in Evian-les-Bains, France. He is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.

According to the statement issued before his departure, Mr. Modi will be travelling to Evian and will be participating in the G7 summit on June 16 and 17.

Mr. Modi said “India’s presence at the G7 reflects the trust our partners place in us and our growing global profile. This is the eighth consecutive G7 Summit to which India has been invited. At the G7, India will not only speak for itself, but it will also give voice to the aspirations of the Global South.”
