Ukraine launches major drone attack on St Petersburg, residents advised to stay indoors.

Residents of St. Petersburg were urged to stay indoors after a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack targeted Russia’s second-largest city this morning, highlighting Kyiv’s growing ability to strike deep inside Russian territory.

The attack came a day after Russian President Vladimir Putin declined an offer to meet his Ukrainian counterpart. St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov advised residents not to leave their homes and warned of possible disruptions to mobile internet services.

Meanwhile, Leningrad region Governor Alexander Drozdenko said 141 drones were shot down over the region surrounding the city.

Russian President Vladimir Putin rejected Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s proposal yesterday for a face-to-face meeting, saying there was no point in it. In response, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha today said Russia’s situation would only get worse.
